Finally, after releasing a series of posters, teaser, melodious songs, Dharma Productions finally unveiled the sneak peek of much-anticipated film of the year – Kalank. Starring Varun Dhawan as Zafar, Alia Bhatt as Roop, Sonakshi Sinha as Satya Chaudhry, Aditya Roy Kapur as Dev Chaudhry in lead roles. Kalank is marking on-screen unite of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit Nene after so long.
In the earlier launched teaser, makers presented Kalank in a way that we failed to predict much about the film’s storyline. All we could guess was a story of family, eternal love and betrayal. Now, the just arrived trailer tells a story in a more clear way and it’s just so appealing to watch the royal depiction of Pre-Independence era. One simply gets glue to the classic larger than life aura of the film.
The trailer is completely about Alia and Varun’s love but Aditya Roy Kapoor is stealing the show with his killer Nawabi avatar. Sonakshi Sinha seems to be playing a loving wife who will sacrifice her own happiness for her husband. Meanwhile, Alia and Aditya are married in film, the trailer takes an appalling turn as Alia falls in Zafar aka Varun Dhawan’s love. The film is going to be a visual treat with a touch of usual Bollywood love triangle tale, presented in a more royal way!
The ultimate love triangle trailer ends with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’s climax scene. Well, the scene is filmed with a twist where Aditya saves Alia from falling from train and Alia extends her hands for Varun…ufff… it’s complicated!
Surprisingly, you can miss Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri’s presence in trailer with a blink. We earlier thought they will be playing a key role in the film but now we doubt about their screen time. Well, this will be only clear when the film hits the box office. Apart from already known star cast, Kunal Khemu is also in the list of Kalank Clan.
The mega starrer film has it all what you can expect from royal film projects of Bollywood. Well, grand background score, stunning looks, beautiful red themed montage, thrilling dialogues, royal outfits and traditional indie avatar of character are the real ingredients of the film. The excitement for Kalank among Bollywood buffs has reached heights and the release date seems far yet worth a wait.
Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is all set to make a grand box office entry on 17 April 2019.
