The makers of Kesari are creating buzz over the period drama since long. After many posters, first look and glimpses of Kesari, finally, the much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari is out. Our expectations already reached heights with previous glimpses and now the full trailer justifies it all.
The trailer opens up in the battlefield where Akshay stands fearless and tall with fire of revenge to finish invaders. As expected, its all bloodshed and bravery in Kesari. The actor is seen leading a Sikh Army where he boasts everyone up with powerful, motivational lectures. One of our instant favourite dialogue from the trailer is when Akshay angrily says ” Aaj meri Pagdi bhi Kesari, Jo bahega wo Lahu bhi Kesari aur Mera jawab bhi Kesari.
As far as the plot is concerned, Akshay Kumar is playing a titular role of Havildar Ishar Singh in the film. The period drama is based on the historical Battle of Saragarhi. The unsung story of bravery presents a true incident where 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in the year 1897 while yearning for the respect of his estranged daughter. Parineeti Chopra is also playing a pivotal role in the film. The trailer shares a sneak peek of the leading actors. While Akshay is in all rough Sikh Jatt look, Parineeti is looking graceful in ideal Punjabi attire.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the Kesari trailer truly justifies the film’s name with its cinematographic effects. Almost all scenes have orange and golden frames that give a colour symbolism to Kesari. The film is co-produced by Dharma Production, Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios.
Apart from Kesari promotions, Akshay Kumar is busy with his shoot schedules. He is a part of ‘Housefull 4’ with Riteish Deshmukh, Rana Daggubati, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Bobby Deol in the film. Besides this, the Gold actors will be seen in ‘Mission Mangal’ with Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan. His another project, ‘Good News’ featuring Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh is in the production phase.
Kesari is all set to make a grand box office entry on 21st March 2019.
