Born to a megastar Mumtaz Ali, a famous actor and dancer of 40’s and 50’s Bollywood era, Mehmood was well prepared for future in acting. In spite of having a filmy background, Junior Ali did not become a super-star of comedy overnight. He stepped into the world of acting with Bombay Talkies film, Kismet, later signed small roles in films – Do Bigha Zameen and Pyaasa and never looked back. Mehmood acted in 300 films, won Filmfare awards for comedy and supporting roles in films like Pyaar kiye Jaa, Waaris, Dil Tera Diwaana and many more. Legendary Actor Mehmood has definitely set a milestone in Indian Film Industry.
