Yesterday, India was thrilled with the trailer of Nawazuddin Siddique’s Thackeray. Today trailer of the much-anticipated film “The Accidental Prime Minister is unveiled. The film features real-life story of the economist and former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, who served from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance.
Veteran Actor Anupam Kher is playing Dr Manmohan Singh. In the 2 min 42 sec trailer, Anupam left us stunned with his unmatchable hold on the appearance, body language and of course the way he is replicating Former PM’s voice and way of talking in the film. Actor Akshaye Khanna is playing a key role of Baru, the media advisor of Manmohan Singh. German Actress Suzanne Bernert is playing Sonia Gandhi. Aahana Kumra is playing Priyanka Gandhi whereas Arjun Mathur will be seen playing Rahul Gandhi (President of Indian National Congress)
The trailer gives a sneak peek of the major controversies in the tenure of PM Manmohan Singh, especially highlighting Kashmir Conflicts and Nuclear deal. During the trailer, Anupam Kher as former PM is seen more or less a puppet of Congress Party who has no real powers and authority in spite of being on the most powerful Chair of Indian Politics. There have been times when it was majorly about Congress v/s Manmohan Singh.
The Accidental Prime Minister is indeed going to be an eye-opener for the masses as it comes directly from the heart of PM’s Media advisor, who has been there and witnessed the majority of the Political drama happening.
